The Replacement Kaiju A-July 27, 2016

This is one of several new concepts that I am doing. This is one of the replacement kaiju concepts for the monsters Brontosuchus and Wyrmogan (as well as a Gomora-inspired kaiju). No name for this little guy, but he does have several interesting features.

First off, you can tell that he is covered, almost head to toe, in large V shaped scales, similar to the armored mammal known as the pangolin. Some of these features were fused with those of the armadillo girdled lizard, especially the tail. Like the pangolin, this new kaiju can walk on it's knuckes to protect it's long burrowing claws.

The head is a bit blunt, with a segmented horn (it's not a organic drill, yet). It has features of the Kaprosuchus & Armadillosuchus in it's facial design, as I wanted it to look pretty threatening.

Anyway, this is my first kaiju concept for the replacement, more will be coming.
